Lightning to Digital AV Adapter does not work on iPhone 16 Pro

On July 28, 2024 we bought an Apple Lightning to Digital AV Adapter to watch videos (taken on iPhone) on our TV screen. We hooked it up with HDMI cable, plugged in the adapter and it worked fine on the iPhone 11 and 12. Then, we ordered the new iPhone 16 Pro. The adapter does not fit into the new iPhone 16 Pro. Is there a way make the obsolete adapter work on the new phone?

You might get better video quality with a USB-C to HDMI adapter or adapter cable.

You could try buying a Lightning to USB C adaptor, but there's no guarantee it will work. Apple does sell this, so coming from Apple, it should work --> USB-C to Lightning Adapter - Apple
