Removing Google from Safari

Do not know if this is proper for this question.

I have discovered that no matter what browser is being used, Google-Analytics show up as soon as entering the internet.

I believe this is linked to the "default browsers" somehow which makes Google Ads the default link no matter the browser being used.

BTW: Google Analytics is a reworked virus of just after y2k but am not sure which one as there were SEVEN that were prominent back then. It is even possible that somehow Google has gotten someone to combine all seven into one. The one that I remember the most was called 'Clicker' and it recorded ALL KEY STROKES and forwarded that back to it 'boss'.

I wish I could prove this as I am sure the FTC, FCC and a few other alphabet departments would like to look into this but my measley programming skills are just no up to that kind of task.

... their COOKIE/VIRUSES will continue to propogate so they can collect personal data on every single person in the world that goes to any place that uses Google Ads.

Correct!

No one is required to patronize those sites. You are using one of the very few websites (Apple Support Communities) that does not rely upon data collection and the ensuing advertising revenue to support it.

Actually, it doesn't collect any revenue at all — you already paid for this site by buying Apple products.

Why would they do that? What makes you think they are not complicit in that relationship? Where do they get their revenue anyway?

I'm not sure I understand what that means. Can you explain, or post a screenshot?

I am unaware of any circumstance whatsoever in which Safari puts Google in its "Smart Search" field, unless it's the search engine you chose.

I have moved over to using a different 'search engine' BUT apple puts via GOOGLE in the seach bar and only after pressing the enter key does the new search engine show up. I do not know if that has anything to do with the multiplicity of google cookies that regularly appear on my machine or not but I have begun to clean my cookie file after every website but the Google cookies keep appearing. Since I cannot copy/paste from that file, I hand copied the 2 1/2 pages (on Pages) just to see them. There are a number that I am not sure but their name seemes to indicte they are from Google but don't quote me one it.

Guess will just have to 'grin and bear it' and keep the cooke file clean though that causes other problem such as log ons that use cookies to store the data.

What I mean is in the safari search bar when you first start typing; i.e. What is Moggli; during the typing on the right side in light blue is "By Google" then as soon as you hit the enter key to start the search it changes to "by 'search engine'" which then remains until the results page comes up.

It is sort of difficult using Safari for this; close it out totally, bring up safari again, begin typing something in the search bar HOPE it will remain long enough to get a screenshot because as I found out, as soon as I stop typing, I AM A SPEED TYPEST and editor, it does the same as the previous explination. I guess if I were a 'hunt and peck' that google would disappear with the first letter typed.

byw: my wife cheated when in college as I typed all her paper, if I was available, and even edited them but never changed anything without her concurrence.

I should have taken a screen shot but yesterday I entered something in the URL/search bar and pressed enter and up popped GOOGLE SEARCH RESULTS. I immediately back arrowed out and reentered my search words and it went to my new search engine.

I just tried that same thing and I guess the OS Update to 15.0.1 corrected that MAYBE. The update notice was on my computer after booting up this morning and opted to install.

Guess, on another post, my eyes just not what they used to be and read 15 as 16
