Since Sequoia I can no longer get the Emoji & Symbols to appear. I used to use Shortcut Cntrl /Option /Space to bring these up. I said yes to the CHAT GPT shortcut. Could this have caused this problem? I have the Globe Shortcut enabled in Settings but this is not working either.

I had this issue for a while now. I turned off Apple Intelligence (System settings » Apple Intelligence & Siri), and since then it works again both with fn+E and control+cmd+space 🤷♂️

I use control + command + Space to open the Character Viewer. Have you tried that keyboard shortcut?

fn + E works for me in macOS Sequoia (iMac 2019 with Magic Keyboard.) I guess old habits die hard (control + command + Space). I'll try to rewire my brain for fn + E...

No because I have to admit, that I haven't used an Apple keyboard in like 15 years.
I'm an old point & shoot/drag & drop user that only uses a few basic shortcuts.
This is the layout I see for the USB Logitech keyboards that we use.
To be honest, I'm more inclined to use the menu dropdown than Control + Command + Space to get to Emoji's & Symbol's.
So what we have here is, you' the Language and Keyboard guru of the forum, speaking to the biggest Apple keyboard shortcut dummy of the forum.

Thanks. After rebooting control + command + Space works again. Also nice to know that @-E, and Edit > Emoji & Symbols works, but Fn-E doesn't work for me.
Well, I have never used Emoji directly on my Mac (M3). Because of this I have no idea when they disappeared.
However, I use Webex frequently and used emoji for reaction. Maybe this is another emoji I do not know...
But.
After upgrade to Sequoia emoji in Webex disappeared. I can't make any reaction nor insert smile into message. When I press Emoji and symbols there is no any reaction.

I pressed Ctr+Cmd+Space, Fn+E or Edit-Emoji & Symbols from menu - no effect.
Oh, yes. There is an effect. The process is started. However, there is no any visible effect.
Of course, I restarted my Mac many times and upgraded it from 15.0 to 15.0.1 as well as upgraded Webex.
Is there any way to check if Emoji exists on my Mac?
Note, on my MacBook with the same versions of OS and Webex I can open emoji by Fn+E and from Webex.
So, something is wrong with iMac.

I may compare my iMac with MacBook and know how it must be. I cannot open Emoji on iMac in any know way.

I'm another "me too" on the post Sequoia emoji issue. They work in Messages, but nowhere else. I've rebooted numerous times, used the various Fn/Cmd/control/option-space keys to no avail. In mail, edit-emojis and symbols, does nothing..., maybe. I have my keyboard set to switch between Spanish and English using the fn key. Is it possible that that is shutting down the emoji option? I went to Settings/Press fn to: show emoji & symbols..., yeh, that doesn't do anything either.
As a trial, I just tried emojis on my wife's MacBook Pro 3. I got the same results in her mail -- nothing. I repeated all the steps above. Still no luck. Thoughts?
