Apple TV no Remote

i just bought apple tv (3rd generation) from a friend and i got it without a remote i restarted it to previous settings with my pc and i can't connect with iphone beacuse i need to enter the code on tv. what can i do

You will need to find a replacement remote. Either borrow one temporarily to help set up the software remote, or buy one.

The legacy Apple TV (3rd generation) [A1427 or A1469] requires the old style Apple Remote (aluminum) A1294. Apple doesn’t sell these anymore, but select other resellers may still have some.



A replacement remote has to be linked to the box as described here (2nd half of the page):

[Both steps can be done with the new remote.]
