Sync two folders on iPad - local and shared

I have a folder in my iPad shared from my PC (windows) and synced between the two devices. Wanted to use it as my Obsidian vault, as an way to sync the vault (Really can't afford Obsidian Sync, I'm not in USA).

While setting everything I stumbled upon this problem: can only use an folder in the local "Obsidian" folder as an Vault. So i came with the idea of syncing an folder used in the correct location as the iPad vault with the shared folder, used on PC. Is there anyway to sync the two folders? Didn't want to use thirt-party solutions, but if it's the only way can you recommend something safe and reliable?

Perhaps the easiest way to achieve your goal might be to use one of the better third-party File Manager Apps - that offers a range of methods to (a) connect to external file systems such as a folder shared by your PC, and (b) automatically synchronise a folder between your iPad and PC without reliance upon cloud-based services.

One App that comes readily to mind is FileBrowser Professional by Stratospherix:
