Can I use Apple Store trade in credit to buy a new iPhone, using Verizon/Carrier payment plan?

I'm looking to trade in my iPad Air 5th gen at the Apple Store for credit, which I would like to put towards a new iPhone. However, I would choose the option of financing through my carrier (Verizon) for 36 months. Would I be able to apply the credit from trade in to lower the monthly cost or pay more up front?

I hope this makes sense... thank you!!

Any trade in to Apple is only valid for purchase from Apple.
Check with Verizon to see if they have any trade in program for purchases from them.

Here in the US, a customer can choose carrier financing at the time of purchase directly with Apple. Verizon, does offer 36 month financing through Apple.

Whether they can apply a credit from a traded in iPad, I don't think I can answer that. The trade in program through Apple only seems to cover phones, not tablets.

In this case, the Author of this thread should speak with Apple directly or visit their closest Apple Store for a definitive answer.
