language problem chrome/macbook pro

Language in Chrome calendar on Macbook Pro suddenly defaulting from English to Dutch. Cannot completely change it. Have tried all the steps suggested by Apple to no avail. Can partially change it, but it returns to Dutch.

Thanks for the suggestion, Tom. I searched for the topic in Chrome community but found nothing. I tried one more thing before posting the question. I managed to partially change the Dutch to English in the calendar. This time the settings menu was in English, so I was able to read it. I changed the primary region and language and time zone accordingly, when suddenly the language partially changed to Bangla. Not even sure what I did, but I eventually got rid of the Bangla. I restarted my computer and it was fixed. I do not even know which step it was that did the trick. If the problem recurs, I just need to remember that the first option under the settings menu is settings. One click on that gets you to the page to change region, etc.
