How location works on MacBook Pro M3 Pro (16 inch)

Q1 :

Dose MacBook Pro M3 Pro (16 inch) have built-in Location Chip ?

if don't how can it determine exactly location for device ?


Q2 :

Can I remove this feature permanently from the device (like form hardware) ?


Q3 :

It is works when device on sleep or shutdown ?

Macs do not have GPS built in, they use WiFi and Bluetooth signals from nearby devices to obtain a location. You can turn the feature off (System Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services), but there's no hardware to remove. It does work when the Mac is asleep or shut down, to enable a lost Mac to be found.
