UPDATE
iOS 18.1 just rolled out. Installed it on my iPhone and both battery and screen error messages are gone. Issue resolved.
So, it WAS an Apple bug and were right to raise this issue here.

Who repaired the screen? If it wasn't Apple or an authorized repair shop, you will get no help from Apple or anyone in here.
If it was Apple or an authorized repair shop, take it back and have them fix it.
What kind of an arrogant and useless answer is that?
The point is, in iOS 17, if the screen was replaced, it gave an "unknown part" error for 15 days and then it went away.
Now, in iOS 18, the Restart & Finish Repair error does not disappear.
It's not unreasonable to ask why Apple have messed up again and when this bug will be fixed.
Let's take this slowly so you can follow the discussion.
1) I'm not like you, I successfully repaired the phone myself.
2) On iOS 17, the unknown part error disappeared after 15 days and my phone was functioning perfectly.
3) Apple updated iOS 18 to include a new repair menu but created a bug which meant phones without errors suddenly had errors.
4) Apple messed up.
5) End of story.
Agreed. This situation is ridiculous - it is the same on every major release. iOS 18 starts breaking phones. Apple essentially says 'who cares' and point to warranties (pay up more or else no phone). People say 'no thanks, I'll do it myself' and Apple punishes them. It is unacceptable, highly unethical behaviour. Steve Jobs will be rolling in his grave. Support trying to help me but iOS 18 can't even run remote diagnostics properly it seems. Again, NOT my fault. That's nothing to do with my screen replacement or skills. It is poor software development, or potentially purposeful software development (heavens forbid).
You just wasted everyone’s time. Your answer was not helpful and you are indeed very arrogant. If you cant say anything helpful then don't bother to say anything at all. The issue has appeared in iOS 18 and apple should fix it - whether they are looking at their OWN forum or not is irrelevant.
Thanks for the update. I'm pleased your situation has improved. I've just updated and I immediately notice an improvement in general performance of the phone and the screen lighting. Alas the Display configuration in Parts & Service, 'Restart & Finish Repair' continues to say 'unable to configure' so who knows when they'll get around to fixing that. I agree, the issues experienced are absolutely nothing to do with us.
Apple, please can you provide a fix. I see hundreds of people online with the same problem as me. Please address this quickly...
This is a user to user forum, Apple isn't here.
This is neither a useless nor arrogant answer, I simply stated facts.
Apple did not mess up, you did by using a third party repair shop to replace your display.
Well that says just about everything we need to know. Ridiculous if true.
You're unhelpful. Please go away.
I just did the 18.1 update. And the problem is still there. True Tone came back though.
