IPad air connected to magic keyboard. But the space key and shift key does not work

Make sure that Full Keyboard Access is turned OFF in your accessibility settings

If you purchase this keyboard directly from Apple, you have a 14-day window to return it for either a full refund or a replacement.
If after that timeframe, you will need to contact Apple Support as I mentioned before.
Followed your instructions but the problem continues. When I need to Capitalise by pressing the shift key + character it displays lowercase letters. Same with trying to get the + sign by pressing shift and = key, but = is displayed. Space bar does not work. Please help. This is a brand new magic keyboard. So frustrating
