Is there a way of turning off the Apple Maps “feature” that automatically selects home as your destination When ever you set off

So I got rid of the suggested destinations in CarPlay Maps. On my iPhone with iOS 18.0.1:

Settings > Apps > Maps > Siri

I then toggled off "Learn from this App" as well as all Suggestions below it. Siri is no longer continuously guiding me home without my asking :-)

No. Unless you have a next destination event in your calendar, your phone assumes that you’re heading home. You can, of course, add any destination that you would like.

I had managed to do this as you had previously and it worked great - until I installed iOS 18. Now it always wants me to go home again, which is distracting. If I figure it out, I'll post the fix here.
