Can’t access my Bluetooth Menu in iPhone's Settings app

Hi , I am using the 16 ProMax, and after the last iOS update that was launched before about three days I can’t access my Bluetooth Menu in the Settings. It makes the whole screen freeze once I click on Bluetooth .. does anyone face same issue ?

Same is happening with my partner’s iPhone 13 Pro Max. Bluetooth was working normally prior to updating to iOS 18.0.1. Bluetooth does not toggle on from Control Centre and going to Settings > Bluetooth the toggle button has a signing wheel indefinitely and will sometimes crash and restart the iPhone.

iPhone restart did not fix the issue.

Factory reset and restore did not fix the issue.

Hopefully a future iOS update will fix the issue.

Probably not, unless you tell Apple about it.

Perhaps a long shot:

Do you use VPN? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile.

Despite @lawerncefinch’s conclusory logic about the volume of people that would experience this issue if it had been caused by the iOS18 update, I too, have EXACTLY the same symptoms as described by @cobblercrisp, and they began immediately after installing the first ios18 update (within about one minute after the update). The issue has been incessant, and as of ios18.2, still exists. I don’t have any vpn used.

I find it surprising so few people seem to be affected. It renders the device completely unreliable, because you don’t know if it’s frozen until you manually check settings. @LawrenceFinch…thank you for trying to help though!

Any word from Apple? I really don’t want to sit on the support line for an hour, walking through “…have you tried resetting your phone?”

Think Apple is vastly underestimating the number of iPhone owners experiencing this exact Bluetooth connectivity issue which has not been corrected as of ios 18.3. Not all manage to find this thread to register their complaint.

Tried all recommended fixes included in this thread to no avail. Wish I could revert my XR to iOS 17 as get very little benefit from the update to 18 and certainly not worth bricking the phone's Bluetooth connectivity.

When resetting Bluetooth for Air Pod Pro, phone's Bluetooth connects just long enough to go through setup...then loses connection. also no luck connecting to any other Bluetooth devices...speaker, vehicle etc.

Please fix this bug Apple.

Cobbler Crisp have you found out anything else or any resolution? I am experiencing the same issues. Exactly the same. Diagnostics said Bluetooth failure. Second diagnostic showed no issue. Nothing was wrong prior to update and now I am having the same problems!

You might be enlightened if you read ALL of the thread you added to.

After the update same issues!! Bluetooth will connect and the phone will drop the Bluetooth connection after about 3-5 minutes. Restarting the phone will not help. Turning off Bluetooth doesn’t help. Restarting the car doesn’t help. With being hands free state, this is a huge downfall for my Apple products. If I am out of line or if some actually had a fix please share.

My FreeStyle Libre 2 blood sugar monitor no longer constantly connects to my iPhone 13. (SERIOUS!). Initially blamed the former device and put a 2 Plus on my arm. It too failed. Phoned Apple who said they were blameless. But my car no longer pairs and I’m reading that other people’s Bluetooth devices are disconnected. Come on Apple. Wake up and admit this disaster.
