I recently updated to Sequoia from Sonoma and now I cannot download photos from my Panasonic Lumix camera. The import section of iPhotos doesn't give you the option to download photos or to delete photos after downloading. I have never had a problem like this in all the years using iMacs.

Camera formats come and go, and computers sometimes have trouble keeping up. When I've had trouble with plugging a camera in, I've usually gotten good results using the app "Image Capture" that's in the Applications folder. You may want to use it to transfer pictures to a folder in Finder, and then import to Photos from there.

PS: By the way, it's Photos, not iPhotos. iPhoto was an app that was discontinued about 10 years ago, and which people sometimes get confused about. So we try not to put an "i" in front.

Your advice was right on. I am able to download the photos to the DCIM folder in Finder and then import them from there. Thanks a lot.
Cannot download photos to my iMac using Sequoia. I never had a problem before. I have a Panasonic camera.
