Hi, I'm having difficulty getting the new iPhone mirroring to work. Im using an iPhone 15 pro with iOS 18.0 and iMac withSequoia 15.0 loaded. when I select mirroring I get the message on the phone to enter the iPhone passcode to trust the Mac. I enter the correct passcode, but the Mac then displays message unable to connect to iPhone..
Anyone help please?

The Apple Support article iPhone Mirroring: Use your iPhone from your Mac says to make sure:
If all of these are true, the article says to try any of the following (If the first one doesn’t work, try the second. If the second doesn’t work, try the third, and so on):
If none of these work, contact the Official Apple Support.

iPhone Mirroring is the new AirDrop
It's hard to rationalize why Apple does this kind of stuff: they have a brilliant idea that seems impossible materialize.
It's always the same. In this case it's iPhone Mirroring that never works when you actually need it. I have my phone in the home office, I happen to be in the living room sitting on the couch with my Mac laptop. I suddenly need to download an app for my phone, which is in the office next to the living room and when I open iPhone Mirroring it says that I have to unlock the phone to make it work, that wouldn't be that bad if I haven't done it like a million times already because it's always the same BS. What is the point then? Isn't the whole point of iPhone Mirroring that I shouldn't have to get up and move to the room to grab my phone ?? FAILED TECHNOLOGY.
EDIT: and BTW everything is in the latest OS version, everything is current tech M1 MBA and iPhone 14 Pro, everything on the same network, you know, that kind of stuff.... this shouldn't be happening ALL THE TIME.

Unfortunately nothing has worked, Really weird, but it looks like I'll have to try the official Apple support.

What’s wrong with Intel, Apple? You’ve used it before, why not add backward compatibility support for the processors? It seems like a logical solution, doesn’t it?
The feature worked for me when it first dropped, but now it says "An error occurred. Please try again." with a "try again" button.

well if it makes u feel any better have the m4 pro. worked at first and now nothing. tells me to follow instructions on my phone but nothing there? also won't let me revoke! stupid!!!!!

Same here, I have an M3, it worked the first time when they released this feature, now it keeps asking to unlock iPhone and nothing happens, can't revoke too.
I’m gutted. As I used it all the time. So good to be able to transfer from Mac to phone. Oh well… fix it Apple!!!!

I am having the same issue and none of the troubleshoot steps are working. Hopefully apple will fix it with the next update!
Tim crook wants you to upgrade your perfectly working intel mac to an Apple Silicon one just to make some extra money. my brother's M1 MacBook air is barely faster than my intel MacBook pro.
I killed my laptop before this feature came out, and have been living off an M4 iPad until today (3/1/25) and the feature has always given the error message.
Just updated to Sequoia 15.3.2 aaaand they didn't fix this.
