Is anyone else having issues with calls failing/not being able to receive calls after iOS 18 update? It starts working again temporarily after switching phone off and on again, but within a few hours, I can't make or receive calls again until I restart the phone. This started immediately after updating to iOS 18.

I was able to fix this over the weekend. In my case (iPhone 13; iOS 18.0.1):
-Incoming calls (excluding FaceTime) would not ring and go straight to Voicemail. This issue also left no missed call notification. I would only get Voicemails
-SMS Texts would fail to send (not including iMessage)
Solution: My carrier reset my line connection on their end (AT&T 611) and calls started coming in. After, I turned off RCS Messages and the SMS Texting started working again.
RCS: Settings > Messages > Scroll down to RCS > Toggle Off

wasted 9 hours on the phone with Apple, Verizon and Norton as with update to 18.5 day before yesterday can no longer receive calls from businesses. It turns out it is no longer allowed to have protections from other than Apple is blocked.
Time to ditch Apple and get a flip phone - Apple complicit in targeting Americans and complicit in spying on Americans.

Is Apple on board for this now in US - could be starting with this update and inability to turn off AI access to camera and microphone...spying and giving access here now too?

No issue from SIM and carrier side . Apple had intentionally sent bugs update for iPhone 13, so that users bury new iPhones . Pathetic services
Hi… I have restarted the phone … RESET THE PHONE, Update the software also . But all in Vain . Apple had intentionally doing this for old iPhones
I am not sure route cause clearly, but it seems that after updating the OS, the phone overheats while charging, and this likely caused damage to the SIM card.
I’m also experiencing the same issue. It’s seems like I won’t receive calls if I’m in an app or active on my phone sine update. There’s not even a notification of a missed call or vm.

I have same problem. I sent the phone for warranty repair, because Apple wasn’t able to do something with it.
I have now iPhone 7 which is working fine.
