AirPrint Quality (Washed Out or Faded)

I have a Canon MF743CDW printer with the latest firmware and software on my MacMini Sonoma 14.7

When I print from the Mac that is connected through Cat6e cable to the network printer using the latest Canon Driver (10.19.19) the print comes out as expected, vibrant.

When I print the same file from my vintage tablet (15.8.3), iPhone 14 (17.7), or iPad 9th (17.7) the print comes out faded, washed out, or like 50% transparency.

Tier 1 support verified this through screen share and using the camera to show them the quality differences.

Tier 2 support says I must update to iOS 18 since it is out but would not verify that the AirPrint driver has been updated in iOS 18. I refused to update to 18 because of poor app performance experiences in the past when updated too quickly to an new version of the iOS.

Now since they are refusing troubleshooting until I update to 18, if the AirPrint Driver is still misbehaving on 18 then what? It seems like Apple could identify this problem since so many people have complained on this community for several years. But they won't, now what?

My second call with Tier 2 advisor asked me to disconnect the network cable from the MacMini and print from the MacOS connected by WiFi and the test document with a full color image printed vivid and as expected.

We've narrowed it down to the AirPrint service on iOS devices, but he couldn't go any further until I update at least one of my iOS devices to version 18.0. I refused, due to the many BUGS being posted about 18.0, so we are going to wait for a few months and pick up the support call then.
