After updating my Apple TV to tvOS 18, it is not playing well with YouTube

Experiencing multiple issues with YouTube Premium (AdFree) Subscription since the IOS18 update. When paused on YouTube & the Apple screensaver comes on (as normal), the YouTube video that was paused automatically comes back on, but audio only while the screensaver is still rolling. Some of the other issues I am experiencing are, getting a black screen when selecting a vid, then it switches back to the thumbnail screen (sometimes multiple times) OR finally starts playing the video (that I have yet to view) & starts playing it about 3/4 of the way in OR kicks me out completely to the account screen, where I then have to reselect my account, which at that point, puts said video in my history as already completely viewed!!! The issue with the black screen seems to be an issue when its trying to switch back & forth form Dolby Vision? Running an AppleTV A2843 on an 86" LG Mini-LED model 86QNED85UQA & yes television software has been updated as well!

It seems that YouTube and tvOS 18 is not handling HDR content properly. Switching to 4k SDR or just turning off the “Match Dynamic Range” setting seemed to fix this issue for me, but obviously am not able to watch YouTube content in HDR :(

Just to follow-up again with the fix from philly310! In settings, under Video and Audio, switching off “Match Dynamic Range” elimainated my YouTube woes. Thanks again philly310! I left my the Format set to 4K Dolby Vision and still have great resolution and no momentary “switch” to black screen as I had even prior to the OS18 update

I've just posted the same thing however it's also screwing around with the local dimming zones in the Hisense having half the screen lit and half the screen not vertically.

Not just YouTube. Recorded HDR content from my tablo is having similar issues

Go to settings on Youtube app and submit feedback so Youtube can fix the app.

I’m not sure it’s youtube. Everything was fine until I updated my iPad to ios 18 today

If I turn off, YouTube resolves, but then it disables every other app.

I also have the same issue, driving me mad as I watch a lot of Youtube on the AppleTV, will turn the setting on for now but HDR is way nicer to look at with a 4K HDR TV.
