lost all passwords after passcode reset.

I reset my passcode on my MacBook recently, after doing so I lost all saved passwords and everything else I had, now how do I recover these passwords when I go to keychain ac it just shows internet passwords and no other files.

If you forgot a login password and needed to reset it, that action resets the Keychain associated with it. Refer to this passage from If you need to update your keychain password on Mac - Apple Support:


"If your user password was reset because you forgot your password, and you can’t provide the old password for the keychain, you won’t be able to access the information in the old keychain, and a new blank keychain is created."


If you created a Time Machine backup prior to resetting your login password, you can restore that Keychain. You will need to provide its password to unlock it.
