How to hide sidebar in Photos Sonoma 14.6.1?

In the Thumbnails view the sidebar is always there. But if you expand to full screen (fn-F, or the green dot at upper left or View>>Enter Full Screen,) then the the sidebar will disappear (unless you choose View>Always Show Toolbar in Full Screen.)
