Does using the clamshell mode degrade my battery?
I really want to hear your own experiences with the clamshell mode and its effects on the battery. I’m just new to MacOS so idk much about it

Why do you ask? Why the concern?
The MacOS manages the charging/power system very well. Clamshell mode does not negatively impact the battery.
Everything you do that uses the battery degrades the battery. Batteries are consumables and eventually, they run out of capacity.
If you use the computer in ways that Apple has intended it to be used, you won't use the battery more quickly than expected.
And yes, modern battery utilization software is very impressive.
I just can’t believe that an OS can manage that, that’s all. If it can, that’s REALLY impressive.
I’m new to MacOS so i don’t have any experience with the clamshell mode, just wanted to know. (And i live in a post-soviet country so a battery replacement is very expensive here)
Alright, thanks!
