I'm finding that RAW photos load perfectly into Apple Photos from a Canon R camera and my Leica Q3 camera. However, Canon has a revised Camera called R5 Mark2 that has been out for over a month. I cannot load RAW photos into Apple Photos. I have loaded the latest Apple software on the computer.

To be blunt, adding raw support does not seem to be a priority these days for Apple. So, some cameras are never supported, so partially supported and some fully so.
Options: Convert the raws to DNG with Adobe's free converter.

Apps like Adobe's Lightroom and Lightroom Classic, CaptureOne, DxO Photo Lab, Mylio and others have their own raw support and tend to be faster and more complete in the support they offer, but then they ought to be as you pay for them.
