Apple sold me a new Macbook Air that was defective on the first day.

Within moments of taking the computer out of the shipping box, I discovered that right-click didn't work (neither did ctrl-left-click). I called Apple. The first person I spoke with said that I could exchange my defective computer for a new one. Then she transferred me to another person who said I would have to talk on the phone with a third person. The latter didn't seen to have any idea what he was doing. He talked out loud to himself for about 5 minutes, and then said that I would have return the new computer for a refund and then buy another new computer. That solution is not acceptable to me because it would take much too long. Also, Apple has not said that they'd send me a box to return the computer. Since they sent me a new computer that is defective, I think Apple should resolve the problem by sending me another new computer and a shipping box to return the defective computer. Any decent company would do just that.
