Universal control: "iPad over Macbook" position not working

I usually use my external monitors over my main screen because I don't want to move my neck as much as possible. I was stocked to start using the using Universal control feature after getting my MB with my iPad Pro. But I can't get to place my iPad over MB in the arrange displays option.

I am unable to arrange my screens when connecting my iPad Pro M1 to a monitor I have an iPad Air M1 and arrangements is not an option, I have a 16.9 fhd monitor. Stage manager on. Using an external monitor with the Ipad Air I’m having to use my Ipad Air as a pc as both my Lenovo pcs are busted and in for repair. Using the ipad with a hyperdrive is a pain, as you can’t really control the external monitor. I can’t use the lid on my ipad cover to turn the screen off independently of the screen on the external monitor. Using the external keyboard is also a nightmare as the ctrl keys don’t work with navigating through text, although that’s a separate issue. The Stage Manager facility doesn’t appear in my Control Centre or in the Display section of settings. Would this help, and if so how can I enable it? Thanks for any responses or assistance.

iPad extended display with stage manager on lower resolution screens I am using a USB-C VGA Multi-port Adapter and I want to organize windows on your iPad and external display with Stage Manager and the monitor must be capable of 16:9 widescreen 1920x1080 (FHD) to support iPadOS Stage Manager extended desktop. Unless the monitor meets the minimum required specifications, you will not see the full range of controls in iPad settings so I cannot use the arrangement. How does this make it a portable versatile pro device for productivity and business use.
