Want to enable iCloud photos without synchronizing my whole library. Forced to upgrade.

Hi, I would like to turn on iCloud to share an album with my family. Unfortunately it says that I have to upgrade to more storage even though I have 7gb left. It says it is because it wants to synch all my pictures in the cloud. Point is I only want to share a few pictures, not the whole thing. Can anyone help. I am desperate for help. kr

Create a new library on your Mac by holding down the option key while opening photos.

Add any photos that you wish to sync with icloud

Make the library the system library and turn on iCloud sync under settings.

Only images in this new library will sync to iCloud on all devices. Any new photos that you take on a iPhone also syncing will be added to this library.
