The styles option does not appear when I attempt to edit a photo in the photos app after iOS 18.0.1 update

Hello. Did someone found the explanation or the solution for the photographic style error? Mine stopped working all of a sudden and I haven’t done any change in the photo settings. It’s like the phone doesn’t recognize that the photos are made with this phone, because for example, when I enter in the camera settings and go to photographic styles and I have to choose 4 photos in order to set the undertones, I don’t see there the last photos only the ones before, for which I can edit potohgrapohic styles. But the last one it doesn’t work. Also when I take a picture, although the photographic style appears in the camera, after you take the picture, the style disappears.

I am having the exact same problem. The filter option does not show up in the photos app. Instead, the photo app has the filters option. To be clear, the filter option does show up and works in the camera app, but just not the photos app. So, I can't edit filters after the picture as been taken. Need to fix this from next ios upgrade.

I have tried every suggestion I've come across and yours was the first one to work. I don't know if it will revert for some unknown reason, but at least now I know how to get it back if it does. Thank you so much for sharing. It was driving me crazy.

One thing to consider, even though this fix worked for me, I did find that it only works for photos taken AFTER the fix. Anything taken before the fix will not have the 'styles' option when editing. At least that is how is working for me. But even new photo I take has the styles option in the photo app.

Thanks for the feedback. Styles do work in some 16 pros in the photo app. I've seen several you tube videos showing this. I suspect it works in iOS 18.0 but not iOS 18.01 for some reason.

Even with high-efficiency turned on I still can’t adjust the photographic style of my photo after I shot it. All that shows up is filters

Same here. I noticed it yesterday. Some photos are having styles options available and since yesterday all the photos taken do not have that option available. I don’t know whats going on with ios.

I have done that. It still doesn’t work.

Same here. I used to have that option when I got my phone initially but all of a sudden, it’s gone. Fix this problem asap Apple!
