This monitor does not support HDR playback

Question asked many times on this community; asked many times and then always locked for replies (just a silly way to run a community)

Answer in my case was simple, change:

macos > system settings > display > set external monitor to support HDR (off by default)

note:

in AppleTV App settings Downloads were set to Most Compatible 1080p (not sure it this matters)

HDR Content not available on external monitor. Hello everyone. I am hoping you can help me out. I just purchased a Mac studio max along with a Gigabyte M32U 4K monitor. The monitor is connected to the computer with a Silkland DP 1.4 to USB C cable that claims it is able to do 4K @ 144hz and is compatible with HDR content. However, I am still not getting HDR content via YouTube. My monitor is set for HDR, my max is set for HDR, but it’s still not happening. What am I missing?? I have attached screenshots of my current settings and the YouTube quality selector that is missing the HDR indicator. Thank you for your help.

MacBook Air M1: External display only streams 1080p instead of 4K When no external display is connected, 4K movies play just fine on my MacBook Air M1 using the Apple TV app. However, when I connect an external (non-HDR) 4K display via USB-C, the TV app downgrades the 4K stream to just 1080p (which is pretty obvious on the 4K display). Is this an intended limitation or a potential issue with my setup?

My Studio Monitor will not display Amazon Prime videos in HD. Says HDCP not compliant Is there anything I can do? I have tried to boot into Safe Mode with Ventura, but that seems impossible. I cannot use an HDMI splitter because the monitor is USB. I have searched the internet for solutions, and no one seems to have one. Any thoughts on this or how the heck to boot into safe mode with ventura? Thanks.
