An empty Iphone 16 Box

a couple of months ago I went to the apple store because I had an issue with my iPhone 12 and I was advised by the assistant to purchase and new phone so I waited until the iPhone 16 was released to buy it. But to my surprise, I got an empty box with nothing inside. I am very disappointed. I have contacted customer support but I have been just told different things by each person I call.
