Apple Watch activation lock

I bought 2nd hand apple watch se from someone and it was successfully connect with my iphone but after some time I sell it to someone else and he update the Apple Watch and said it show activation lock but I am sure I unpair it properly he return me back but my iPhone is old now I can not connect it if I bought new iPhone and connect it with my new iPhone with same Apple ID the watch will connect or not. please help me
