I use the search function in iTunes a lot to add songs to playlists. I'm usually in the playlist while I'm doing this. The search function used to search all the songs in my library but today it has started only searching the playlist that I'm in, which is unhelpful. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have updated iTunes so I don't know how this suddenly changed (or how to change it back). Any help gratefully received. Thankyou!

When you click the magnifying glass in the search box there is an option to Search Entire Library. Unchecking this makes search filter the current view, the behaviour that I prefer, while ticking it should search the entire library in an overlay panel.
