After Sequoia 15.0 update, my Youtube notifications no longer open in Google Chrome when clicked on

After upgrade Youtube (Google Chrome Helper Alerts) do not open when clicked on my MAC Desktop. They only disappear.

I have searched online for a solution and have not found one.

How to resolve so the YouTube Alerts open in Chrome as they used to or any other browser such as Safari or Firefox?

Spot on. This includes upgrading to latest Chrome Version 131.0.6778.85 (Official Build) (x86_64)

The problem for the Helper remains that when you click on the Alert that in my case points to a YouTube discussion I am signed on to that page never shows and the Alert disappears when clicked on.

I notice on Safari related Alerts there is a SHOW button in the bottom right of the Modal display and when clicked the Safari web page shows up.

So it appears that some changes in the latest macOS to 'Alerts' has occurred by Apple that affects Non Safari related content to fail to follow the link embedded in that Alert. This is most probably what has happened as this all worked before upgrading to Sequoia.

Now Apple and Google get this resolved.

The problem is setting up the Alert to successfully connect to the web browser when clicked whether it is Chrome as it was before Sequoia or Safari, Firefox etc.

At this time I have not found the documentation to enable configuring the Alert Notification to pass the link info to any web browser.

If you know how to accomplish please advise with links and documentation

Unless you know of how to change the action of selecting an Alert your suggestion fails. Under Notifications - Google Chrome Helper (Alerts) there is no way to redirect to another Web Browser. Further looking at this on my 8 year old MacBook Pro (not Sequoia) the Alerts use the default browser.

This all indicates changes by Apple on macOS that fail on YouTube Helper Alerts or Google is not embedding the links in the Helper Alerts.

The problem is most probably the first suggestion.
