iMac 2020, 27” crashes with 2nd monitor

iMac 2020, 27”, 3.6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9, AMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT 8 GB, 96 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, Sonoma 14.6.1. Using NXT Technologies NX29742 0.5' Mini DisplayPort/HDMI Audio/Video Adapter

to interface with OWCTB3DK 14PSG THUNDERBOLT 3 DOCK, connecting 2nd monitor, (ACER KB 272 , 2024).

All externals connected to T3 dock work fine, no problem with iMac. iMac crashes every time I connect the 2nd monitor. Please advise.

In Disk Utility>View, select Show all Devices, highlight the top left entry.

Run Disk First Aid on all items in the left panel, from top down.
