Is it possible to remove the dynamic island bar at the top of iphone pro16?

menardfraggle ~ No, there isn't a way to remove the dynamic island because it contains the TrueDepth camera, Infrared camera, & dot projector:

It can't be made transparent since there's no screen behind it, just the cameras and sensors as Alancito explained. Apps should be built to avoid or work around that area.

I suppose Apple could have blocked off the entire top of the screen — but then you may have said: "Apple didn't need to block off the entire top of the screen — just a small island-like area for the cameras & projector. They could call it Dynamic Island!"
