Switching from Private Tabs to Public tab on Safari post iOS 18 update

Ever since I downloaded IOS18 on my iphone, safari keeps doing this annoying thing. I have a bunch of regular and private tabs open. Let’s say I switch from private tabs to public tabs. It’ll show me the top of the page, where some of the first tabs I opened are. This is annoying because shouldn’t it show me the bottom of the page, where my

most recent tabs are? Now I have to scroll through a bunch of tabs to get to my most recently opened pages which is incredibly annoying. This never happened on IOS 17 and before, so is there a way to get rid of this totally unnecessary feature?
