Over the weekend I upgraded to the 16 Pro with IOS 18. Since then, I’m not getting any popup notifications for incoming text messages on CarPlay. All my settings are exactly the same as my previous phone. I’ve re-paired my phone with my car several times, still no luck. Right now, the only way I know I have any new texts is to go into my messages on my screen. Very inconvenient! Please help!

Not as of yet. I did receive the push for iOS 18.1, but haven’t installed it yet. I did actually talk to an Apple rep and they said they know it’s an issue and would be fixed. This was prior to 18.1 push. I’ll update and let you know.

I’ve also installed 18.1 and having the same issues. Apple, please get this fixed!
Me too. It seems to "work" like the previous phones if my car radio is actually displaying the Apple user interface. If it is displaying the radio, I can hear the chime notification but not the pop up. Pop up works only if in CarPlay. Somebody broke something.
Any luck with this? I am having the same issue. I notice the issue iphone 16 doesn’t have “show in CarPlay”
I wish I’d know before I removed and re-added CarPlay, then checked every related setting. Arrrrgh!
