How can I tell how many cores I have in my MacBook Air M2?

I'm a little confused because it says in the system report that I have 8 cores, but under "total number of cores" it says 10. So not sure if I have 8 or 10. Does anyone know the answer to this? Thank you.

MacBook Air, macOS 15.0

Your Model ID says you have a 13" MacBook Air.

MacBook Air (M2, 2022) - Technical Specifications - Apple Support

All variants of that model have 8 CPU cores (4+4).

Some variants had only 8 working GPU cores. Your machine has 10.

The Neural Engine has 16 cores. (System Information doesn't show this, but the Technical Specifications do.)
