I'm a little confused because it says in the system report that I have 8 cores, but under "total number of cores" it says 10. So not sure if I have 8 or 10. Does anyone know the answer to this? Thank you.

First timer on support, learning about computers a lot. Does it say performance cores or efficiency cores anywhere? Usually chips have 80/20 cores with the smaller number being efficiency.
Edit: after looking around, it seems the cpu has 8 cores, and the GPU has 10.
You have an 8 core CPU, and a 10 core GPU.
The System Information app will reveal that information under Hardware.
