Beats Flex blinking white light but not charging?

Beats Flex shows blinking white light while charging but does not actually hold charge. Reset doesn’t work (press & hold down volume and power button for 15s). I ended up pressing the power button while I plugged in the charging cable — and then finally the red blinking light came on. So I think it is actually charging now.
