How to extend vibration duration for notifications on my iPhone?

It is very common to keep the phone is silent mode to avoid the phone from ringing excessively. Users rely on vibration to know of a notification sent from an app but local notifications only vibrate once making it very easy to miss a notification. There should be an option to allow the local notifications to vibrate for longer durations.

To extend the vibration duration for notifications on your iPhone, you can customize vibration patterns for specific notifications. Here’s how to do it:

1. **Open Settings**: Go to the **Settings** app on your iPhone.

2. **Sounds & Haptics**: Tap on **Sounds & Haptics**.

3. **Select a Notification Type**: Choose the notification type you want to adjust (e.g., **Ringtone**, **Text Tone**, etc.).

4. **Vibration**: Tap on **Vibration** at the top of the screen.

5. **Create New Vibration**: Tap on **Create New Vibration**. Here, you can tap and hold on the screen to create a custom vibration pattern. The longer you tap, the longer the vibration duration will be.

6. **Save Your Vibration**: Once you’re satisfied with the pattern, tap **Stop**, then **Save**, and give it a name.

7. **Set the Custom Vibration**: After saving, select your new custom vibration pattern for that notification type.

Repeat this process for any other notifications you want to customize. This way, you can have longer vibrations for important alerts!

Great answer. Is there a way to specify this for notifications from a specific app. I had to change the "Default Alerts" Haptics to apply it to apps other than the default Apple Apps as shown below

But now it uses the new vibration pattern for all the notifications received from other apps. I want to apply it to notifications delivered by my app. Is there a way to do that?
