Beeping alert and my phone is being scanned

Cannot reproduce. Many people have posted the same question but I don’t see an answer

Your phone is NOT being scanned. It's a SCAM message intended to frighten you into buying software or service you don't need for a problem you don't have. No ONE can scan your phone remotely. Whatever site you were using when the message came in is being paid by these scammers. I would dump the app or stop visiting that site completely.

Does the game have in-game ads?


Even if the game developer is trustworthy, they have little to no control over the ads that display in game - they're managed by third-party ad companies. It's possible (likely?) that what you're seeing is an ad, designed by some malicious actor to look like a system scan, and to display some scary notice about being infected and the need to install some malware to 'clean' your system.


Don't fall for the scam. Maybe report the ad to the developer so they can escalate to the ad firm, but it's a sad reflection on the mobile ad space.
