I am searching for 61w charger of MacBook pro 2017 model. I am unable to find it on Apple website.
should not apple provide one?
the nearest match was 70w charger, I am afraid if it can damage MacBook pro? will it be safe ? why there is no specific charger?

The higher spec adapters of same vintage may have shipped with 15-inch
MacBook Pro, as USB power-delivery was a newer standard; as these are
capable of matching demand of Apple Products; they never force-feed.
So a 61w power supply would naturally be superseded by other stock #s.
