I received an email that I should change the password on my apple account, but the email from which the message arrived is suspicious to me

That is a scam!
Delete and block the message immediately. That message is not from Apple.
If you receive a suspicious email that looks like it's supposed to be from Apple, please forward it to reportphishing@apple.com.
