I am not receiving push notifications on my iPhone after iOS 18 update

After the iOS 18 update I no longer receive push notifications on my Lock Screen. I have to open the apps to see that I receive a message hours ago and never received the notification. iPhone 13 Pro

This issue is pretty annoying, i tried everything but seems like Apple are not prioritizing fixing the issue.

Solved, at least for the Mail app! After updating to IOS 18.3.1 on my iPhone 12 and making sure lock screen notifications were turned on, new mail made a sound, but there was no banner on the lock screen, even after trying all suggestions I found online. I discovered the fix hidden deep in the notification settings for the Mail app. Besides making sure lock screen notifications are turned on, go to Customize Notifications (bottom of Mail Notifications page), and at the bottom of the Customize Notifications page, select Primary Inbox and make sure that Alerts is turned on. If it isn't, you get only audible alerts on the lock screen. Now the banner pops up along with the audible alert.

Just updated to 18.1.1.

issue remains. The only app that works is my Eufy security app

no messaging apps work, the ones you can reinstall I have to no avail.

If my phone is unlocked and the screen is active they do work which defeats the object.

I also have an Apple Watch and this is compounded/linked as that has an issue with no haptics working since upgrading.

Yes, bang on. Resetting will cause you to set up wifi passwords, Face ID and a whole load of other stuff again - and there’s no guarantee that it’ll work. I found that deleting and re-installing the apps in question does work - all of these are now posting notifications again for me. I know it’s a pain but it’s the lesser of the two evils when comparing with a reset.

These recent updates are having me seriously question my relationship with Apple.

problems I had with since iOS 18 started;

  • The notification issue
  • first update was killing my battery, seems like 18.2 did fix this.
  • would not allow me to fully sign in to Apple for 3 days. Supports couldn’t fix other than suggestion a factory reset.
  • do not disturb has got a life of its own and will not turn off. I had to totally disable it. Now I have to manually sign out of teams at night
