Freeing up storage on apple watch

I am getting the message "storage almost full" on my watch. When I look at the storage categories bar in the Apple Watch app, it says that 1/3 to 1/2 of the storage is taken up by "Other". What is "Other"? I use the watch to tell time, to look at weather, and for the timers, and not much else. Syncing of photos and music is Off. Thank you for any help you can provide.
