Siri can't give me temperature outside, says because of settings, location services are on

New iPad, 9th generation, upgraded to ios 18 and all info transferred from old iPad. When I ask Siri for temperature outside she responds first that I have to turn on the unit, then tells me she can't tell location because of the settings.

I have location services turned on, have weather app turned on. It won't work, she responds over and over can't tell my location because of the settings? What?

iPad, iPadOS 18

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Siri and turn that on.

As I said in the details, I had already done that, it did not work.

But oh, re-reading, let me take another look, I don't know that I hit the settings for Siri.

I'd got the Weather set but you're right, that was the problem. Sheesh, those instructions aren't listed anywhere. And I saw that Google Maps wasn't set either. So many thanks, much appreciate it.

That was one of the tips I'd read in another place on here - to make sure Weather app had location turned on. I spent an hour searching for answers, never saw one saying to make sure Siri has the location turned on. And I never realized, my old iPad answered every time, so it was frustrating to not get it to work. I check with Siri as well to see if she could lead me somewhere for an answer - she didn't respond well to that.

Thanks again.
