How do I unlink old Apple ID from the iPad or restore access?

I have requested the removal of the Apple ID. It was fulfilled. But I forgot to log out of my iPad account. Now I can't reset it because of Find my iPhone. When trying to disable it, it asks for the Apple ID password. As soon as I enter the password, it says that the Apple ID has not been found. How do I unlink the iPad or restore access?

For information about how to delete an Apple Account (formerly “Apple ID”), read this support article —> How to delete your Apple Account - Apple Support

Carefully and thoroughly read that article for information about what happens when you delete your Apple ID account. For example:

"Make sure that you sign out of all your devices to avoid issues with apps that use your Apple ID account or iCloud. After your account is deleted, you can't sign out of iCloud or turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock on your devices. If you forget to sign out, you might not be able to use your device when your account is deleted."

Your solutions now are to either get Apple to reinstate the account, or to hope you kept your receipt from when you bought the iPad so you can request it be reset.

"What happens if I change my mind after I have requested that my account be deleted?

While your request is being processed, you can contact Apple Support [call them at a telephone number for your country --> Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support ] with the unique alphanumeric access code you received, and we’ll help you cancel your request. After your account is deleted, Apple can't cancel the request, reopen your account, or restore your data."

Apple can completely reset a device if a person can provide sufficient evidence of valid ownership. Check the requirements and steps at: Activation Lock support request - https://al-support.apple.com/#/additional-support Apple says, "Proof of ownership documentation is required," but does not detail what currently constitutes proof other than it “must include the product serial number, IMEI or MEID.” Apple may typically require the original receipt* issued by Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller. If Apple resets the device this will give you access to the device but won't restore access to the account used to lock it. There is nothing that can be done to expedite an Activation Lock request.
