My word documents not saving on my MacBook Air since I turned off icloud
Hi I created a document in word and saved it to a folder but cannot find it now. It is not in my list of recent documents. I’m using MacBook air

Thank you. When I open my iCloud there is no documents folder . I was trying to free up space on my iPhone storage, and I deleted all backups. I’m still new to a Mac and I prefer to have things on my laptop to access even if I do not have internet access. Thanks
It's not entirely clear what happened. You said that you can't find your documents "since I turned off icloud". Maybe you were synchronizing your Desktop and your Documents folder to iCloud, saved a Word document to either of those places, and then turned off Desktop and Documents in iCloud.
If that is the case, the Word document would still be in iCloud and you could find it in iCloud Drive.
