How can I delete iPhone Mirroring on my iMac?

Ok I know I can't be the only person with this problem. I have an older iMac that can't run iPhone Mirroring and you can't delete it by dragging it to the TRASH or any other way that I have tried. I have talked to a couple Apple Support people and they couldn't find a way to do it, has anyone out there found a way to delete this.

You can not delete native macOS app's.

If your iMac and/or iPhone are not compatible, just ignore and do not open the iPhone Mirroring app.

If you need to Stop iPhone Mirroring and/or Disable Notifications,

If it is grayed out, then you will first need to follow the steps provided by thirdvet:

Open iPhone mirroring app

Open settings (top menu pulldown)

Check on "ask every time" (not the auto authorization)

Then the option at  > System Settings > Lock Screen > Require Password after screen saver begins, will not be greyed out and you can change it to any value you want.

Are you able to access the Settings option in the iPhone Mirroring menu even if you see a message that it is not supported?

I was specifically talking about the Mac.

 > System Settings > Lock Screen > Require Password after screen saver begins, can be set to Never if you do not want to be required to enter a passcode.

This will be greyed out if on your Mac the iPhone Mirroring app is set to Automatically Authenticate. This is in the Settings of the iPhone Mirroring menu when the app is open. You said that you get a message that says the app is not compatible with your Mac, so I was asking if you are still able to access the Settings even when that message is on your screen.

The iPhone Mirroring app is only compatible with Macs that have the T2 chips and the only model I know of that will accept Sequoia and does not have a T2 chip is the 2019 iMac, which may be the one you have. I don't have that model, so I can't confirm if you are able to access the Settings of the iPhone Mirroring app.

I am not sure what model iPhone you have but my iPhone is the 13 and that is not in Airplay&Continuity, but I appreciate your trying to help.

I have the opposite problem as you. My Mac is compatible with iPhone Mirroring, but my iPhone 8 is not.

Thank you but the iPhone mirroring app on the Mac won't open because it says it's not supported on this model Mac yet it is there in all the apps and it won't go away, that is the problem. Because it won't go away I am forced to sign in every time the screen sleeps.

You need to follow the tbirdvet's instructions on you Mac and turn it off or disable iPhone Mirroring in you iPhone settings.

Yes I can access the Settings but when I hit LOCK SCREEN it is still grayed out. Do you think there might be something else that might change it other than the software engineers need to rewrite part of the older Macs from having this problem. I feel despite all the great help from you and others we can't fix it. So I say a very big thank you to all who have tried to help but I am just going to have to live with it until they rewrite the program.
