Do not do that! Maybe you can share with us where you got this information or where Apple has recommended this.

Apple automatically does battery calibration and it may take a couple of weeks. No where do they recommend completely draining your battery for calibration.

It sounds like you’re facing multiple issues after upgrading to iOS 18 on your iPhone 12 mini. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot these problems:

  1. Restart Your iPhone: A simple restart can often resolve many performance issues.
  2. Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This can help with Wi-Fi issues, but you’ll need to re-enter your Wi-Fi passwords afterward.
  3. Check for Updates: Make sure you have the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings > General > Software Updateto check for any available updates, as Apple often releases fixes for bugs.
  4. Free Up Storage: Ensure you have enough free storage space. Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage to check. If storage is low, consider deleting unused apps or media.
  5. Battery Calibration: To help with battery issues, fully discharge your phone until it turns off, then charge it to 100% without interruption.
  6. Reset All Settings: If specific settings aren’t working, try resetting all settings by going to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings. This won’t delete your data but will reset preferences.
  7. Factory Reset: If problems persist, consider a factory reset. Backup your data first, then go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings.
  8. Contact Apple Support: If none of these solutions resolve your issues, it might be best to reach out to Apple Support for further assistance.

Hopefully, these steps help improve your iPhone’s performance! Let me know if you need more guidance.
