Message from Apple on email

Message states it will close my account in 48 hours (permanently) if I don’t make a correct.

when I clicked on the prompt, I got a red letter message that this was suspicious.

Please advise.

That was spam. In the future, to determine who the real sender is, tap the name of the sender. This will reveal the name of the true sender. In my example below, it loos like Apple sent the email. But as you can see, it was definitely not.

As conditional email is mostly non-secure and anyone

may send what appears to be real to anyone else. Avoid

this, since it most likely would be a mistake to follow up.


Forward the fake 'apple email' and report it direct.


"If you receive a suspicious email that looks like it's supposed to be

from Apple, please forward it to reportphishing@apple.com."

An email from important sources should only occur from persons

you have contacted first. Or may confirm by more direct means.


Consider it spam or phishing..
