Wireless issues with certain devices after IOS 18 update

Is anyone else having issues with certain apple devices connecting to a wireless router at home? the two devices I have giving me issues are my new iPhone 16 and iPad Air M2. Both will temporarily connect wirelessly but then just drop network traffic. I have scoured my router but it is not the source of the issue neither is my ISP as I can connect wirelessly to it just fine from my MacBook pro. I did have VPN configs on both these devices which I deleted but no change in behavior.
