iPhone 16 Pro Max Screen Occasionally Displays Glitch Lines

Last weekend I bought an iPhone 16 Pro Max 512gb, and I’ve noticed that sometimes when I tap the display while it’s in Always-On mode, a few glitch lines briefly appear before disappearing. This happens randomly and not every time. So I’m concerned that the screen might be failing. What should I do about this?

I've experienced the same issue on my iPhone 16, with occasional glitch lines appearing on the screen. I consulted a professional, and they mentioned that iOS 18.0.1 didn’t fully fix the touch sensitivity issue. Some devices have this glitch with iOS 18.0.1, while others don’t. Even after updating, I was still seeing those black lines occasionally, which seems to be a system bug—pretty frustrating! I tried other solutions and eventually tried a reapir & updated to the latest version of iOS 18, which completely fixed the problem. So you can give it a try, hope everythings goes well!😄

I have experienced this issue before 2 or 3 times very occasionally 2 weeks ago and never noticed it again until last night when I was in an indoors concert which it did it around 5 times in the span of an hour roughly… it was always when waking up the screen from “always on display” or when pressing the camera control button.

my phone was fairly hot because I had it on my hand while taking raw photos and recording in 4K. That’s what leads me to think it happened that often during that time?

Since then I’ve kept locking and unlocking my phone and the lines are not coming back…

but for the looks of it if it’s only happening when using “always on display” and in the scenario for all of us so I really hope it is a software issue that gets fixed soon and not hardware related

I just received mine in the mail brand new yesterday. Once it did the update after transferring everything from my old phone I can’t even put in my passcode. Also, the phone won’t do a hard reset with button combinations. I’m stuck on the hello screen and it won’t even let me restart it. The screen flashes past the pass code entry right back to the hello screen. I talked to Apple Support and they said I have to take it to Best Buy as an authorized place to work on Apple devices. I’m hoping this will fix my issue considering I can’t even use the phone. It sure has been one expensive paper weight up to this point.

I’ve got the same phone and I get that glitching issue every time I go to use my phone from always on. I thought my phone could have a dodgy display connector but it doesn’t appear any other time. I’m hoping it’s just a glitch they can fix and not a bad batch of 512gb models because as for most I don’t have time to go to apple and get it fixed nor go without a phone
